A smoothie maker, also known as a slush machine, slush mixer, or frozen beverage machine, is a refrigeration and blending device used to partially freeze beverages (such as sugary drinks, fruit juices, or soft drinks) into a semi-solid smoothie state. This device uses a low-temperature refrigeration system and a continuous stirring mechanism to form tiny ice crystals during the freezing process, resulting in a smooth, drinkable smoothie.

Automatic smoothie makers can be categorized by product type into blade-type and stirring-type. By end-use, they can be divided into home use and commercial use, with commercial use dominating the market. By the number of cylinders, they can be divided into single-cylinder, double-cylinder, triple-cylinder, and other types, with double-cylinder models being the dominant model. Ice-free smoothie makers utilize 3D vortex cold extraction technology to directly turn liquids into smoothies, eliminating the need for pre-made ice cubes. Some ice-free smoothie makers employ this technology.
